The poll shows a 51 percent to 41 percent lead for Heinrich, with Independent American Party candidate Jon Barrie taking 6 percent. In a two-way race, the poll shows Heinrich leading 52 percent to 43 percent.
The release of the poll comes a day after a Public Opinion Strategies poll for the Wilson campaign showed the Republican leading by one percent — the only poll in the race so far that has shown Wilson leading. Every other poll since early July has shown Heinrich leading by more than five percent.
The polling memo says, “Heinrich’s lead has been remarkably consistent for more than a month. In the 3-way match-up, Wilson has never surpassed 43 percent, while Heinrich has been above 50 percent in every survey we have conducted this month.”
The GBA Strategies poll of 600 likely voters was conducted from October 27 to 29 and has a margin of error of +/- 4 percent.
