Morning Word, 01-07-13

The Legislative session is just 8 days away. The legislative session will kick off on January 15 with Gov. Susana Martinez’s State of the State address kicking off proceedings.

If you would like to see live coverage from the legislative session from New Mexico Telegram, you can donate to the fundraiser. There are incentives ranging from a button to a bound book.

The website that I am using, Indiegogo, takes four percent off the top. Besides that, the rest of the money goes towards making sure that I can cover the legislative session live from Santa Fe like I have for the past four sessions. The money will go towards paying rent but also to traveling up to Santa Fe each day. There is no organization behind this website besides myself — no non-profit, no for-profit or anything.

This is why it is so important that you are able to help me by donating.

You may have noticed that there are more posts here in recent days, even from just before the election. Part of this is because we are ramping up to the legislative session, which seems like it has more story lines than even a major election. Another part of this is that I currently am not employed; so go ahead and pitch in a few dollars to make sure that I can cover the legislative session from the press gallery and committee rooms in Santa Fe.

Do what you can here.

On to the Word.

Matt, your own clarity is lacking. The Spaceport exemption is not for accidents, but from passenger lawsuits in case of a crash.

Not funny but it was stupid.
