Weekly Word: Legislative preview
We know that you’ve been missing thee Weekly Word podcasts over the holidays.
But never fear, co-hosts Joey Peters of the Santa Fe Reporter and myself brought Sterling Fluharty into the Albuquerque studio to talk about the upcoming legislative session.
The 2013 session will be a big one — literally because of the 60-day length and figuratively because of the types of issues that will be debated.
Some of the issues discussed in the podcast include the sort of jobs and tax legislation that will be discussed, the Spaceport America informed consent exemption, education reform, leadership discussion in the state Senate and the Governor’s upcoming decision on Medicaid expansion.
Oh, and we also touch on the repeal of drivers licenses for undocumented immigrants, because this is now a perennial issue in the state legislature.
